Boards are over.
The munchkin is 2 years old.
And we need a vacation before rotations.
So here we are!!!
(Wish us luck!)
For me, one of the most important parts of vacationing is finding good food…and not just from the places everyone else goes. No. Discovery and Adventure is the name of the game.
Ok, well. There is not much discovery and adventure you can do in a town you’ve lived in for 8 years. BUT…
First stop was Old School Bagel! My husband has been bugging me for a couple of months because he has never been, and I have been…a few times, let’s say…even the little one has gone. So, I decided no more! It was fun, as life always is with these two clowns.
Lunch was kind of a hit and miss with snacks we had packed and such.
So by the time we got settled into our hotel, we decided some good dinner was in order.
Our newest discovery may be one of my new favorites.
Gloria’s Restaurant. Sounds simple. But it’s “Latin Cuisine” that is AWESOME.
They give you salsa (normal enough) and this warm black bean dip goodness. See.
They had a great kids menu, and her food came out with our appetizer, which was perfect.
Oh. And on vacation, all bets are off. So from personal experience, dessert is great, too!
We ended our day with the “swimming in Dallas” that Little Miss has been talking about for a week.
Side note, this kid is amazing.
No nap. Lots of driving. Lots of holding the need to go potty.
She’s already a traveling pro.
These are such precious times, and I am so blessed to have these two to share them with.
Vacation fun is only beginning!
